With this thought in mind the students of Ashok Hall Girls’ Residential School participated in the various sport events. The first event of the year was the Cross Country Race based on the theme of Unity and Peace. There were four categories- the Mini Group, Sub-Junior, Junior and the Senior Group in which the first position was bagged by Tanisha Agarwal followed by Shubhangi Kandpal, Muskan Agarwal and Nazarene Rose Blah. The second event that took place was the Inter-House Table Tennis Tournament in which Shruti Choudhary secured the first position followed by Inakshi Agarwal in the Senior Category. In the Junior category the first position was secured by Hansika Jaiswal followed by Manushree Bansal.
The next event was the Inter House Badminton Tournament. Ananya Tripati was awarded the best player and Indrakshi Sarkar secured the second position. In the Junior category Muskan Agarwal bagged the first position followed by Lavanya Jindal.
Apart from the House competitions the students participated in the third National Karate Games and performed enthusiastically. Jheel Kshirin got a gold medal and a silver medal for Kumite and Kata respectively. Harshita Choudhary got a gold medal and a bronze medal for Kumite and Kata respectively. Shivani Arya and Nandini Patel bagged the second position for Kumite while Neha Shaw secured the third position in Kumite.
The last event for the term was an Inter House Chess Tournament. It was an open category competition in which Yellow House stood first followed by the Red House. Ritul Priyadarshini was awarded the Best Player of the tournament while Avantika Prakash was awarded as the Upcoming Player. Vrinda Agarwal (IX)
